During harsh Kazakhstan winter morning, woman finds the most gentle purebred Maine Coon waiting to be taken to the warmth of a furrever home

You won't believe what you can find in a basement nowadays. 

Maine Coons have their stereotypes, just like every other breed. Though they're absolutely massive cats, they're commonly known for being "gentle giants," and are some of the most gentle breeds out there. They're outgoing, and referred to as the golden retriever of cats. So if you're a typical introverted cat pawrent then you might not want a loud, talkative Maine Coon. And oh yeah, they're meowing up a storm most of the time! They're also outdoor cats by nature, so be prepared for that. But when it's -25 degrees outside, outdoors may not be an option, and that's exactly what happens in this story. It's freezing harsh winter weather in Kazakhstan, it's the morning, and it's -25 degrees outside. A woman goes out for something in the freezing cold, but hears a cat meowing loudly. She finds this beauty in a basement! She immediately takes her home, and the gentle girl doesn't bite or scratch, she just purrs and loves. Everyone deserves the warmth of a home, and no kitty should be left out in the cold.

  • The thought of a kitty being left out in the cold should make everyone shiver with sadness. There's a reason why those types of places don't usually have a lot of feral animals, and the cold is one good reason. I grew up in sunny California so the thought that the weather could be that cold is so unusual for me. It's bizarre, and I think it could be novel for a short time, but would get so tiring to have to dress up so much in long pants and socks and boots just to go outside at all. How does one even take the trash out? A lot of times in those places there's so many unique things about the city that they do to keep everything functioning. They even leave their cars running at all times because the engine might freeze if they don't. And bus stops could have a warm waiting room because you can get frostbite if you just stand in the cold for too long.
